Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American singer and actress whose dramatic range earned her popular acclaim across a range of genres from period drama to thrillers and action. Johansson is born to an architect and a producer, was raised as a child in New York City. Hunter, her twin brother, and she were both the youngest out of a family of four. She developed an interest in acting at a young age and was auditioning for commercials before the age of seven. She was enrolled at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute shortly after, and later attended the Professional Children's School, Manhattan to continue her training. Johansson made her debut an actor in the film North (1994) when she was nine. When she was eight years old, she appeared with Ethan Hawke on Off-Broadway in Sophistry. Johansson made her debut in Just Cause (1996), but it was Manny & Lo 1996 that gave her her breakthrough. The film tells the story of two young girls that are running away. She next earned the attention of critics for her character in the film as a teen who been injured in a horrific accident in The Horse Whisperer (1998) and gained more attention for her role as the cynical teenage who is a solitary Rebecca in Ghost World (2001). Renee Felice Smith entered the realm of entertainment at a very early age. When she was a kid, she was attracted to acting. With the support from her parents, Smith got her first role in the acting world in the age of 6. She created a commercial with Dannon. Like other young actresses in her position, she honed her skills on stage. While working on different projects in the USA she made her stage debut with Wildflower. She studied at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
