Maureen Denise McCormick is the sole child of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5th, 1956 in Woodland Hills. The mother of the child was home and she was the sole child. Michael, Dennis and Kevin are her oldest brothers. McCormick is always a fan of singing, dancing and putting on puppet shows. Her fairytale rise to fame began when she was crowned in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6, which led to a call from an agent for talent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency, who wanted to know if she was interested in to be in show business. McCormick was offered her first job as an actor major in a 1964 television commercial that featured Mattel's latest toy, Baby Pattaburp. That same year, she starred in another advertisement for the doll of Mattel "Chatty Caty" shortly after which she was selected at La Jolla Playhouse to play the role of the youngest daughter in the new television sitcom called The Brady Bunch. "The Brady Bunch' In 1969, McCormick was chosen from an audience of 1200 kids that auditioned for roles as the oldest of three daughters in the upcoming TV comedy The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds who have the family of a blended couple. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick revealed, in the book published in 2008 entitled Here's My Story: Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice, she revealed that Barry Williams was her screen brother. The actress was 16 years old, while the actor was older and the actor aged 19. She said that "it would have happened" but the timing wasn't the right time.
